Our Admissions Policy outlines the procedure for Admission to St Richard's Catholic Primary School.
As a Catholic School we have our own Supplementary Application form which parents should complete and return to the school office along with copies of Baptismal Certificates and proof of address.
This is in addition to completing the West Sussex County Council's Admission Application Form which all parents requesting a place at a West Sussex School must complete.
For all In-Year Admissions please contact the school office on 01243 784549.
If your child is not offered a place at St Richard’s Catholic Primary School, Chichester you have the right to appeal against that decision to an Independent Appeal Panel (set up in accordance with sections 88 and 94 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998).
Appeals must be made in writing and must set out the reasons on which the appeal is made. Appeals should be made to the Admissions Appeal Clerk at the school address. Appeals should be lodged no later than 20 school days after the National Offer Day for primary schools (16 April 2018).
Completed paperwork must be received by the school no later than 21 May 2018, and will be heard within 40 school days. The appeals system is operated independently from the school. Parents/carers have the right to make oral representations to the Appeal Panel.
Late application appeals will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
In-year applications will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
