We welcomed, again, the Chanticleer Assembly Group who lead a dramatic and interactive assembly on 'Forgiveness' using the scripture of 'The King and the unforgiving servant' (Matt. 18: 21-35). They held a mock trial and all the children were the jury who decided if the characters were guilty or not and if they should be forgiven. As you can see from the photos the children decided that some should not be forgiven! (At least not straight away. They needed time to reflect on why they expected to be forgiven by others when they could not be forgiving themselves.) Tom Owen summarised what the children had learnt "If you want to be forgiven by other people who you did something wrong to, then you must be good at forgiving people who do wrong to you."
