Welcome to Y3/4. We have three Year 3/4 classes, Beech, and Elm and Silver Birch. These classes will work very closely together throughout the year and share many activities. To start with we will also build the identity of each class to help the children from both year groups bond and belong. We aim to develop a stronger sense of independence with a clear view on making positive choices so that Y3/4 is a time filled with both enjoyment and challenge. As the Y3 children make the transition from Year 2 to Year 3 and Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2, we hope that the curriculum newsletter and this webpage will help you to support your child in settling into a new class and new routines. The Y4 will be given the opportunity to share their expertise and become peer support buddies for the new Y3.
We will be creating strong links between the three classes and will have lots of opportunities to work together each week. We will be covering the same topics together, these topics are on a two year rolling programme so that when your Y3 child starts as Y4 they will have new experiences.
