The start of your child's school journey is both an exciting and daunting time for any parent. There are forms to fill, dates to remember and of course, the mixed feelings all parent have as they drop their child to school for the first time.
Every effort is taken to ensure this new experience for you and your child is as smooth as possible. We believe in working with you to ensure your child is settled and happy.
Here we have provided you with lots of information for you and your child to help with a smooth transition into school. We will be contacting you by email and then our ParentMail communication system and have a planned Zoom Information meeting on Thursday 2nd July where we will welcome you to our school community, talk about those first few days at school, what to expect and plan for and to give you an opportunity to ask your questions.
Below you will find a short overview of Parentmail to help you get started and a copy of our New Parents Information Booklet. Feel free to read the information now but we will cover all of it and more in the zoom meeting.
Once you have signed up to Parentmail we will be sending you several forms to complete on line, the information you provide us in these forms will really help us to get to know you and your child, ensure that we are aware of any health conditions and to gain your agreement for activities around school life. Please do complete and submit these forms by 23rd June and if you have any questions please do email Mrs Farrands, our school Secretary on firstname.lastname@example.org.
At St Richards we use ParentMail to communicate with parents. ParentMail is a web based system which can be accessed via a computer or via the app on a phone or tablet.
Once you have got the hang of it you will be able to receive emails and updates, complete forms at the click of a few buttons, pay for trips and events and keep updated with the school weekly newsletter.
Here you will find a brief tutorial on using ParentMail and will provide you with the basics you need as you become a parent within our school community.
