Hi everyone! We hope you are all well. We cannot believe it is the last week of term! This weeks phonic's focus is on revision of tricky words again - so please see below some ideas for practising those tricky words and remember, don't let those tricky words trick you!

Tricky word domino game
Have some tricky words with domino spots on the back. Your child rolls the dice, and then picks up a domino with that number of spots on. They try to read what the tricky word says.
Write tricky words on the fence or the pavement with chalks - can you squirt the tricky words with water?
Tricky word racetrack
Create a racetrack on a large piece of paper. It will have a track that is broken into squares, each one with a tricky word on. It is best at least twenty squares from start to finish. Your child will have a counter. The counters start on the start-line. Then they roll the dice and then jump that number of squares up the track. Whatever word you land on you say the word. The winner is the player that gets to the finish line first.
Carry on with your all important reading at home - can you try and spot those tricky words in the book?
